Duetorrihotels in the “100 eccellenze italiane” guide

The Duetorrihotels locations in Verona, Bologna, Florence and Genoa are included in the “100 Eccellenze Italiane” guide published by So Wine So Food in partnership with Forbes Italia.

The list promotes Italian companies which stand out thanks to their historic and cultural heritage, identity and focus on sustainability.

The Duetorrihotels Group’s four hotels were included in the first edition of the “100 Eccellenze Italiane” guide, published by So Wine So Food, an international food and wine magazine, in partnership with Forbes Italia.

The award encompasses the Grand Hotel Majestic “già Baglioni”, the Due Torri Hotel, the Bernini Palace and the Hotel Bristol Palace, all based in historic palazzi in the centre of some of Italy’s main art cities.

The guide highlights the cultural and architectural value of the buildings, as well as the quality of the reception and hospitality, the rooms and the services, all elements which contribute to defining the identity of the Group's hotels.

In greater detail, the Due Torri Hotel in Verona was highlighted for its history and its interior, including the Arena Casarini, as well as for its focus on sustainability topics and its commitment to promoting environmental practices.

For the Grand Hotel Majestic “già Baglioni” in Bologna, the guide highlighted the joint presence of classical, futuristic and contemporary artistic elements, both pictorial and architectural, which reflect the city's cultural profile.

The Bernini Palace in Florence has links to the city dating back to 1550 and, in particular, to the period when Florence was the capital of the Kingdom of Italy, when figures such as Giuseppe Garibaldi and Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, met in the Sala Parlamento, now the breakfast room.

Finally, the Hotel Bristol Palace in Genoa was recognised for its architecture in Liberty style, Italy's version of Art Nouveau, and its elliptical marble staircase – which inspired Alfred Hitchcock when making Vertigo – which represents one of the hotel’s distinctive elements.

The Group's hotels have obtained international GSTC certification, recognised globally as a benchmark for sustainable tourism practices. The certification was awarded by Vireo, an independent accredited body, in accordance with the standards laid out by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). This important award highlights the properties’ commitment to adopting responsible policies and protecting the environment and the local area and its community.

Being included in a guide dedicated to Italian excellences represents an important recognition for us. This result reflects the work of a consolidated team which is attentive to guests’ needs and requirements, and to making the most of each hotel's identity. Each structure maintains strong links with the local area, its culture and its history.
